PEFC Finland - Finnish Forest Certification Council

The PEFC Finland - Finnish Forest Certification Council administers and develops the PEFC Finland forest certification system.  

The PEFC Finland is made up of several members representative bodies.

The PEFC Finland's main activities include:

• maintenance and development of the PEFC Finland forest certification system
• cooperation with the PEFC Council and its member organisations
• issuing PEFC logo use rights in Finland and controlling the use of the PEFC logo
• communicating and promoting forest certification nationally and internationally

PEFC rules stipulate that the forest certification standards must be revised and updated every five years. The PEFC Finland is responsible for this process and work procedure is defined in the Council rules. The PEFC Finland does not, however, carry out the work itself, but instead, the revision is made by an independent working group invited by the Council. All willing stakeholders can participate in this work.
